NOIA Magazine

In this work, a cluttered London kitchen transforms into an intricate, surreal landscape through digital photoscanning, reimagined as a point cloud animation. The once-familiar setting is now an eerie constellation of thousands of points, shifting and dispersing to reveal different layers of disarray. As the points dissolve, the kitchen oscillates between recognizable forms and abstract patterns, exploring how an everyday environment can morph into something uncanny and fragmented when seen through a digital lens.

Presented in NOIA Magazine’s 'Absurd rituals' issue, the project connects to the cyclical routines that punctuate daily life—like washing dishes or tidying spaces—that seem both necessary and strangely endless. By showing the kitchen’s clutter as a series of floating points that ultimately fade away, the piece underscores the transient nature of these routines. It offers a lens into the odd intersection of domestic chaos and digital art, turning a moment of untidiness into a study of ritual, repetition, and the delicate line between order and disorder.
