In 'Under the Digital Sea', the Coperni Ariel Swipe bag is brought full circle as a 3D recreation, echoing its origins in digital design while exploring the unique intersections between virtual and physical production. Originally unveiled in Coperni’s SS25 runway show in collaboration with Disney, the Ariel Swipe bag was produced using Rapid Liquid Print’s innovative technology, which prints objects directly in a water-based gel. This gravity-defying method allows for the creation of soft, stretchable items using non-toxic, recyclable, platinum-cured silicone, resulting in a bag that is not only striking in design but also minimizes environmental impact.

This project humorously reverses the bag’s process of creation—what began as a 3D digital design brought to life in the real world now returns to its digital origins. By recreating the bag in 3D, 'Under the Digital Sea' plays with the fluid boundaries between physical and digital fashion, bringing attention to how technology can enhance both realms. The piece reflects on digital craftsmanship and sustainability, underscoring how digital and physical worlds can mirror, inspire, and refine each other in increasingly creative ways.
